What’s the best way to lead others? Much has been written on this, so I’ll include links to resources below. But here are a few items to consider:

1. Lead yourself first. What motivates and inspires you? Where do you get your creativity? If you don’t understand yourself and what works for you, it will be difficult to figure out how to lead others.

2. Identify the traits you respect in other leaders and implement them. What characteristics do you admire: Honesty? Integrity? Doing what’s right even when no one is looking?

What do other leaders do that inspires you, and how can you implement those traits?

3. Get feedback. Ask for input from those you are leading to find out what they look for in a leader. Join a mastermind group and find out what your peers are doing to lead their teams. Continue seeking new answers and growing, allowing your leadership style to evolve to new levels.
